I was a Department of Defense contractor working for Dyncorp. I was the only Accounting person on a fairly large US Air Force base. We were responsible for providing all the support that our contracted stated.. I signed a employment contract for 1 year, and then the US Air Force decided to extend our contract for 1 more year, so I signed another contract for one more year. After the 2nd year was up, we lost the contract so we had 30 days to pack up and move out. Dyncorp arranged that the incoming contracter bought all of our stuff on the ground so we all left to go back where so came from or where we were going, but we were no longer Defense contractors.

no job security! you can be terminated after 1 year
