Buen ambiente laboral

No work/ life balance

Has decent pay and benefits. Parts of the company are great and other parts are not. Very long hours. And having support as an employee varies. No work/life balance at all.

The Pay was pretty good, but shady practices to get it

Working at BofA was always stressful trying to meet there goals of credit cards and accounts per day. Almost forcing people into applying for cards and other products that they really don't need.

Good benefits

Backward system and there are a lot of “old staffs” who are waiting for retirement. Depending on which function you are in, there may not be a lot of chances to optimize processes and to drive changes. Some functions are ok with status quo.

Pros

Good benefits.

Contras

Management is not that fantastic. Reluctant to embrace changes. System are backwards.

Goals are high, but it can be worth it

Goals are high, but incentive and benefits help. 4 months off for paid maternity leave. Training is different once your in the branch. Managers don’t know much. Have to learn on your own

Great company overall

A typical day includes greeting BofA clients and helping them with their financial needs. As long as you are able to multitask, this job role is great.

Pros

Great management, Friendly staff, professional culture

Contras

short breaks, staying after hours, and a lot of changes on the job.

They wanted you to withhold info from customers ,and only cared about getting them off the phone quickly.

The whole time you're working there they're threatening to get ready you because your call time if you're not getting the customers off the line within two to three minutes. Furthermore if you notice anything that's a problem for the customer on their account you're not allowed to mention it. They have very strict scripts rules and they're always looking for a reason to get ready you while constantly threatening to terminate you.

Sales, sales, sales. They call it the *Bank of America way” Sales, thet’s all they care about.

The platform is not designed for everyday Americans, the platform is designed for high income earners or wealthy individuals. You have money, the treatment you get is totally different. You don’t have money, you have to call customer service or make an appt for two weeks. If you have passion to go and change the world and help your community BOA is not the place for you, don’t even waste your time. It’s all talks, nobody walks. But if you are a great sales person that can sell anything to rich people maybe you should consider working for BOA.

Great benefits. Overall good place to work except in mortgage area

Mortgage area is terrible. Micro managed by upper level management that has no mortgage background. Leads are great but Processing and underwriting is horrible. Phone calls are recorded and if you don't follow the proper script you get a warning. They want you doing other tasks besides mortgage origination. Cannot close on time. If you like constant stress this is the place for you.

Pros

Benefits are excellent, People you work beside are nice, Leads for new business are great, Great grant programs for 1st time buyers

Contras

Terrible Operations and management in Home loans area, Support is awful, Upper management hasn't a clue how to run a mortgage operation

It’s ok, if you’re not working in Chicago

Overall, the company is great. However, certain employees are very negative, not helpful, and act like they are in high school. Management can be messy as well. Most people I worked with were haters.

Pros

Benefits

Contras

Co workers

A lot of opportunities

I worked there a couple of years and there was a lot of branches with opportunities to move around often. The Pay was not as great as other banks and if you were internal the monetary structure when advancing was low

Great job if you are ok with sales

Great company culture. Starting pay is above average for all new hires and benefits are good. Staffing is very low since the beginning of Covid and not much being done to replace associates who have moved on.

Pros

Pay, benefits

Contras

Staffing, constant micromanagement
¿Te ha sido de ayuda esta evaluación?

Great people but not much growth within the financial center.

I truly enjoyed the people in the market. However, the movement within the branches didn't happen, bringing someone to fill a seat was more important than promoting from within.

Not great

This job is great if you want to just continue TRY to meet unattainable goals. Management is rarely helpful, and act like they move mountains when it’s a small basic request. You are chained to a desk, and every second of your day is monitored. You are questioned if you use too much bathroom time. If you can be micromanaged, the opportunity to make money is there.

Pros

Money

Contras

Short breaks, micromanaged, bad management

Don't do it

You will be required to work 6 days a week no rotation no flexibility. Banker compensation is minimum for the company so you'll do much more work for less money

Supportive, good pay, excellent benefits.

Great place to work.Bankers hours provided stability.Great pay.Supportive of your personal life.Benefits allow a lot of flexibility.Still a corporate company, but not quite as overbearing as others.

Pros

Supportive, good pay, excellent benefits.

Contras

Frequent policy changes, some being counter-intuitive to the job.

Pay is low and bonuses are low

Work is not bad once you learn everything and get comfortable with clients but the salary was terrible just as bad as the bonuses as a Relationship Banker, I made more in the wireless industry. Unfortunately, I had terrible management in one of the busiest locations in Fort Worth, made fake rules, and would lie to get her way and if you didn't know any better you would believe it.

Stable hours

Management was always changing and policies and procedures were inconsistent. Dealing with customers can be a challenge. Environment could be stressful.

Excellent company with great benefits

Bank of America is an excellent company to work for. They have the highest minimum wage of all banks in the country. Plus, the benefits are pretty spectacular. They give you options for dental, vision, and medical insurance coverage. They work with you if you need to work from home or take time off. The management is really good as well. People care here and it makes you feel like you’re part of a team.

Pros

-Company’s min. wage is $21/hour -min. Wage is set to increase to $25/hour by 2025., -quarterly incentive bonuses, -great management, -weekly calls to help you learn and grow in your job, -hands on training

Contras

-difficult to get a pay raise approved.

stressful place to work

if you are a teenager you will probably enjoy working here. I found it extremely stressful with the emphasis on hard selling. My colleagues were all under the same stress so led for a tense team. All management were interested in was sales figures and if you didn't get the goals there were consequences. i eventually left after becoming ill with stress and depression as were a number of my team

Pros

none

Contras

long hours, tense atmosphere, constantly stressed
