Diversity & Inclusion
We recognize the value of a diverse workplace, and are committed to promoting an environment of fairness and respect. We believe different backgrounds, perspectives, and opinions lead to the types of discussions that breed innovation. In an ever-changing energy market, diverse perspectives offer a strategic advantage. Enterprise seeks diversity in its workforce, respects its employees’ differences, and recognizes the contributions of individuals. On an annual basis, we prepare Affirmative Action Plans for Minorities and Women and an Affirmative Action Plan for Disabled Workers and Protected Veterans. The results of these plans are reviewed with the Office of the Chairman, which includes representation from the Board of Directors and executive leadership. In each of these reviews, particular emphasis is placed on year-over-year progress and opportunities for future improvement. In 2020, we launched the Enterprise Women’s Network, an employee-led effort aimed at creating a forum for women at Enterprise to connect and learn from one another. The Women’s Network is designed to be an inclusive environment, welcome to both men and women. The inaugural committee consists of women from various groups and levels across the organization who bring unique perspectives and experiences. In time, the network will provide networking opportunities, feature guest speakers, and provide resources that promote women’s career development.
Enterprise Products recognizes that veterans bring a unique set of skills and experience to our company. No matter where you served or what your specialty, there’s a career for you here at Enterprise Products. We value your exceptional leadership qualities, diverse skill-sets, strong work ethic, dedication to teamwork, and ability to succeed in a challenging environment. Such qualities translate well into a career at Enterprise Products, where we share the same core values. If you’re ready to start a new career, the Enterprise Products team awaits you. We offer many opportunities that match well with the skills and experience military veterans gained while serving. In 2019, an employee-led organization named Vets@Enterprise was formed. The group of military veterans is led by a committee of volunteers across the organization. Vets@Enterprise seeks to establish a network where employees can develop contacts and relationships, participate in a mentorship program, access resources on transition assistance, and aid in the recruiting of new veteran hires. This employee-led network is aligned with Enterprise’s goal of welcoming and supporting veterans in the transition from military to civilian employment. At the time of this publication, approximately 400 self-identified veterans were employed at Enterprise. “Enterprise values its veterans through providing opportunities to prove their value in a new career field. With several veterans in senior leadership roles at the company, it is evident the Company recognizes their contributions as they add value to their groups and teams overtime.” - John Green, Commercial Manager, US Army Veteran
INTERN AT ENTERPRISE We believe in supporting the next generation of business leaders. We have a formal paid summer internship program for Accounting, Commercial, Distribution, Engineering, Internal Audit and Finance functions. It is our goal to expose our interns to real world experiences and challenging work assignments. Every intern is assigned a mentor who will provide them guidance throughout the summer. Many interns often return to join Enterprise in fulltime positions upon completing their degree. FULL TIME OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW COLLEGE GRADUATES We seek new college graduates to fill entry-level jobs each year. We recruit recent and upcoming graduates by participating in resume reviews, career fairs, campus interviews and more. Our college hires receive in depth on-the-job training to ensure a successful transition from student to employee. Employee development is a top priority, but we also believe that new graduates offer differing perspectives and fresh ideas to our organization. ENGINEERING ROTATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Our three-year Engineering Development Rotational Program (EDRP) is designed for recent graduates interested in diverse working experiences and who are geographically flexible. Engineers in the program experience three unique rotations that include technical, operations management and project management roles. EDRP's have the opportunity to learn and develop relationships in our complex, dynamic and integrated company. Success is achieved with training, personal mentor support and feedback. "After graduating, I knew I wanted to be in a rotational program. Enterprise’s rotational program offered the opportunity to learn different engineering disciplines, connect with other young engineers, and be mentored by individuals with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Also, during my internship, I met people I wanted to continue learning from and whose careers I admired." - Elizabeth Yee, Development Rotational Program Engineer and Former Intern
