Amazing company

Amazing company, great benefits, cool co-workers. Very demanding work in a challenging, fast paced environment where "thriving in ambiguity" is expected. Be prepared to be challenged!

Overrated. Food is good. Terrible tools and Finance leaders only care about themselves. Ambiguous leveling process that seems to favor tenure and/or minorities over value add or skill.

Fun energetic workplace

Spent over two years here and loved every bit of it. The best part was the sense of community you feel within the company. I did struggle with the long hours at times though

Not got place

The job itself is fine and basically customer service and getting to know local residents which is fun and you really make connections with people!! The work environment is awful though and managers are cliquey and bullies and will twist things you say or do to fit their agenda. They will also twist the policies of the council and do things like smoke during work hours (not allowed except on lunch break) take personal calls at any time and lock themselves in offices to have personal conversations (which customer service staff will be scolded for!!!). Managers expect you to run huge events and activities and even ask you just a week in advance to organise and run a whole event. The pay that we receive as Library Assistants is quite frankly a joke for the job we are actually performing and the responsibilities we have. This is considering managers in the tier 1 libraries get £10000 MORE than levels below yet levels below are performing at assistant manager level. Overall the managers really let the job down.

I was pleased to find Google offered many different learning courses. Having a company that allows plenty of schedule freedom incentivizes me to be the most productive I can be while at work.

They have uncapped appraisal. You can save money because of free food and full stocked pantry. The benefits are great especially when you have a family.

I loved my job & truly respected my direct manager

My role supported many moving parts in several time zones, so more often than not, my days were 10-12hr days. I truly enjoyed my job so I didn’t mind. I felt supported by my team & direct manager and I enjoyed the growth and mentorship that was provided.

All the perks are amazing and if you have strong leadership, that makes it all even more amazing
