Buenas prestaciones, Supervisores mamones

No one seems to know their responsibilities

The pace is "Hurry up and do it again. Not much thought and everyone seem to want to pawn their responsibilities on others. There is no organization ( at least in my Dept. ) and some seem like they want to elevate themselves above others.

Good food in the cafeteria.

I worked at this company for over 12 years and made many improvements in their processes and operations, mentored and trained many employees, and saved them a lot of money through cost and labor reductions , yet was never recognized or compensated accordingly. I was never afforded the opportunity for career advancement or higher paying jobs although I applied for many over the years, but was held in the same position due to the fact that the position I held required a high skill level, was very stressful and would be difficult to refill if it became vacant. This company rewards poor performance and disregards a job well done. It is very politically saturated and ingrained in the good old boy network. The more you do, the more is pilled on your plate while you carry the ones that do very little. You're taken advantage of. I can go on and on but I think you get the picture of the work atmosphere and what it's like at Gulfstream.

Great team of Professionals

I hated leaving Gulfstream but as a contract employee so far away from home, I had no choice but to leave because of personal issues with my family. Great place to work, but the location Brunswick, Ga. sucks to be honest . Housing, businesses in the area are challenging, to say the least . Nothing to do but work , as for the area restaurants, hotels , etc, the area leaves a lot to be desired as for CS. The lodging issue along with poor CS at various businesses is what really drove me away

Pros

they put u in a position of sucess

Contras

new program, growing pains

Great aircraft, poor leadership

Management and above have lost all contact or communication with the floor and don't work to repair any aspect of it. Since COVID, work output expectations are unreasonable with no support or assistance from upper management.

Not at all rewarding

Gulfstream will always do their best to make you work as much over time as possible while also expecting you to do other people’s work who are less capable although they are paid the same or better than you are. Management ensures that you will not get raises based on work ethic/ skill. Instead they give raises on who their friends are

Coworkers were great! Management is a whole other animal

Not a happy environment. If the management doesn't like you they're all over you micromanaging you, belittling you to the point of harassment. If that doesn't make you quit then they'll move you to the department where they know you'll fail so they can fire you. If you're injured on the job they'll keep you at work until you hurt so bad and can't work then they'll fire you for your attendance.

Absolute great place to work

It is a large company so it really depends where you are placed but in general it is very friendly and everyone willing to work and help out. Upper Management can sometimes be painful to deal with which is expected with any large corporation.

Not a good place to learn and grow up

؟؟؟not a good place to work, nothing to learn, you can get and learn much more from the other companies, in Gulfstream everything is super super slow, not let you to touch cockpit even after 5 or 6 years.

Don't expect to move up

Moving up is extremely difficult there are guys here who are great. They have never been looked at for promotion. Most managers do not have your back. Its also kinda discombobulated here most of the time too.

Impressive company

If you are a good fit as an employee, this can be a great long-term career with great benefits. Bring your positive attributes & contribute as a team member so you can excel in your role. You can connect with management leaders across the U.S. for support. You have the freedom to work at your pace & move about to get to know other people when the opportunity arises.

Pros

Bringing food from home is a healthier choice anyway.

Contras

Bring food from home or your options are limited.

Benefits top notch

The best part of working at Gulfstream was the benefits. The cost was very affordable, they give you a generous match on your 401k, annual contribution to HSA, uniform allowance, and points earned that you can buy products with. Overall a great place to work at.

Buen ambiente de trabajo

Buen ambiente de trabajo, hay oportunidad de subir si sabes cómo buscarle, buen lugar para comenzar a trabajar. Muy buenas prestaciones y viernes de calidad de vida.

Pros

Seguro médico, viernes de calidad de vida, ambiente de trabajo

Poorly managed chaos

If you know aviation but want to work here, be prepared to argue over everything you've ever learned elsewhere. Schedule is the driver here until something happens. Then, and only then, is anything else important. Management is targeted to those in the good ol' boy system. If you want career progression, make sure you become buddies with your manager.

Management fails employees

Good ole boys club is alive and well here at Gulfstream. The only saving grace is the pay. If I wasn't making so much I would have left a long time ago.

Fun and exciting to start I can’t wait to meet new people and grow with the company as such was thinking what the job was like ., I see that after reading all great reviews

poor degrading management

Management is like working with a narcissistic person, Its all them for them selves, They will lie and say they stand behind you when really there standing behind you to push you off a bridge. Its like high school kids that gossip and theyre supposed to be your superior. they will lie and talk down to you and then when going above them, they will get rid of you in a blink of an eye.

The pay is very low for the amount of work they demand.

That company treat contractors like garbage always threats on getting fired and forcing overtime was working 60 hrs a week as a senior and dont even reach a $1000 a week

Pros

Was near house

Contras

stressful place to work

Good company overall

Good company overall. Deadlines and schedules are always the number one priority. Professional development can be had if you have a manager that will sign you up for courses offered.

Has been a great place to work for the past 18 years with supportive and appreciative people until a recent change in management.

A&P mechanic with specialty in heavy structures. I love working closely with engineers to complete challenging repairs, develop best approach for new STC, or complete standard repairs or upgrades per established drawings. The hardest part of the job now tends to be material acquisition for repairs in the just in time parts environment.

Pros

Decent benefits.

Contras

Inconsistent maintenance standards, management issues.
