mucha exigencia poca valoracion al empleado. Lo bueno fue aprender a atender a los clientes y lograr que salgan conformes, lo malo es que nos sobrecargaban con tareas y habia diferencias con el horario nocturno y el matutino.

I’ve been with this company 15 years. It’s a give and take rye of atmosphere day to day. I basically stay to myself 40 hours a week so I’m never in the mix anymore

This a job built for young worker maybe eve students. I worked here all through high school. Better treatment was always demanded from staff. Barely got breaks.

Nice place to work. Management was okay, but overall, not a lot of room for growth. Good starting job for young adults but wouldn’t make a career out of the job

hard work, decent pay

You have to work very long hours doing very strenuous work. Overtime was required at this company while I was there, and the days were often over 9 hours.

working with the public

Working with the public is not for everyone and the job was quite physical. Work schedule is not conducive to family life with the ever changing schedule.

Kroger

I've been Kroger for 17 yrs, since Covid I feel like the company ( really starting at the very top) has been less about the associates and customers and has gotten greedy. Don't get me wrong it's been fun and I have made friends that are more my family now, but kroger needs to make it better for us, increase pay and actually show that they really care.

Disorganized and confusing

Kroger is such a large company it makes sense that a lot of things would get pushed under the rug. My supervisors have been very nice but they ultimately don’t have any power to make change. The pay scales are very confusing and makes it hard to search for other jobs within the company because they’re secretive about what positions pay what.

Worked 8 weeks just to be let go over some low level mistaminers that came back on my backround report

I was already trained for the job I was always on time never called off and picked up extra shifts 8 weeks after working there they called me into the office and had to let me go

Unprofessional Managers/Easy job

Very easy work especially, for part time. The managers are just god awful, always understaffed and usually you’ll be doing other peoples work because they called out and the managers don’t replace whoever called out. Don’t work here, this is not a career. You will not progress.

Gossip and Often Hostile Work Environment

At first I absolutely enjoyed working at Kroger, you’re always busy but you’re never rushed so you’re never bored. But the management in certain departments are just unnecessarily hostile. But overall good job if you’ve got a thick skin and don’t mind constant gossip and criticism.

Too much production with very little help

Need more hours to be able to complete task that are required besides just stocking items to the shelf. They do have FMLA, paid vacations and personal holidays

It’s alright

good starting job don’t expect to make a decent living at Kroger choose somewhere else, management isn’t a problem just the people who want to climb the corporate ladder will throw you under the bus if given the opportunity

Just don’t apply

Don’t work here ever!!! It absolutely drains you and is a waste of time. There’s no balance to anything in your life and it’s just overwhelming. You’ll be burned out within a few months.

Stressfully, no work-life balance

The job was stressfully. Work-life balance was hard. Responsible for total store operation. Work weeks are 50 plus hours. As an ASL you fill in when anyone calls in sick

Beware

Kroger would be a great place to work if only they was giving out more hours. I literally have to call 3 stores just to pick up shifts. And most times they are only 4 hour shifts.

great for mentally stable people

personally, the job isnt bad at all. flexible work hours, boss will listen to you if you need help, teamwork makes the whole thing much easier.only downsides are when people call out and dealing with mad customers, if you cant calm down an old person, this is not for you.anyhow, job pays low but kroger is union so if you complain enough you can get a raise without being fired quick.

Definitely couldn’t been more respectful of peoples schedule request being I was still in school they expected me to make it there 15mins after getting out. Absolutely insane

Misleading

When I first went to Kroger I was interested in being a pharmacy tech but because I was in school I wasn’t able to start out doing it. I then worked in the deli. After I graduated and was able to work as a tech I was told that the pharmacy tech job had been given to someone else. While making 10/hr I needed to work 40 hrs a week to prepare to buy a car. I was asked if I wanted to work 40hrs and I said yes I would love that and it was never given to me. I was told 2-3 times that I could work 40hrs but I was never given it. I started out making 10/hr and thought I got a raise when my pay went up to 10.50 but the starting pay was just raised. They refused to teach me anything new such as making cakes, making party trays and more. Even after I trained 2 people I was never given a raise even though it’s supposed to be “competitive pay” and “experience pay”. The bathrooms were always a mess and we didn’t have employee only bathrooms. Sometimes I didn’t use the bathroom for a whole 8hrs because of the conditions.
