If you don't mind 12 hours of humid heat and messed up chemicals while being belittled by co workers then by all means apply.

No on-site hr so no actual orientation. Training is lacking in a big way. More than half the staff has been there 20 years plus but don't know how to talk to anyone. They forget you're new and treat you like you've been there the whole time. Some plants are easier than others. One in particular is the worst. Understaffed big time so the three workdays turn into more.

Pay, cheap benifits, no Saturdays.

Run in the opposite direction

If you love having everyone else work dumped in your lap at given time you will love it ! Always expect more and more without paying more. Did I mention the pension is gone and they won’t pay it out ? Awesome right ? If you enjoy having expensive medical insurance with horrible coverage apply immediately.

demanding work

leadership is taking the company in the wrong direction for worker safety. Benefits are becoming meek and not worth the dangerous work and demanding hours.

Good company, they treat you ok. There are pros and cons, good things and bad things to working at the lubrizol corporation, I enjoyed the work but overall didnt fit me.

Excellent place to work for

Each day was a different challenge which I took with a positive approach. I learned how to operate many different tanks and systems coming into the job with zero experience. Training never stopped as things were always changing. Management was there for myself most of the time. Workplace culture was very safety oriented and willing to listen with any safety concerns brought to their attention.

Fun group of people I worked with

Steady pace job always something to do, learned how to work reactors, scrubbers, used operating instructions for batch sheets to safely operate the plant. Monitor and log unit process conditions and storage vessel conditions and vessel levels and temperatures in order to make the necessary adjustments and safely maintain production.

This was brand new chemical area that was being put in. There was much work building process. I was hoping for some overtime. However there was hardly any availability.

A stable working environment with a quality working atmosphere. Surrounded by helpful coworkers and upper management. Pay should be higher for what they are asking for in the position.

overall good place to work, needs minor inprovment,people are not as friendly,HR was fair. i would go back to work there at an later if i could,outstanding benifits.

Still employed as of this date

Lubrizol is a great opportunity for a young person to start and long and well paid carrier. Very safety oriented and employee minded. The most difficult function is the rotating shifts in production.

Good combination of work, management skill

Would recommend anyone to work there. Between their working culture, salary, practice in fairness from management team, and compensation packages were the best!

There are much better places of employment.

underpaid; overworked. there are much better places for someone to begin their chemical operations role than here. very hazardous place to work in addition to the underpay. lack of ppe is serious.

Rewarding and Challenging

Can be very busy all 12 hours with system. some days are frustrating with troubleshooting problems. If motivated person can advance to a rewarding pay compensation.

Fast pace of work with a get it done anyway possible attitude. old equipment lots of broken equipment with no urge to fix anything. plenty of train yourself opportunity, high turn around of employees.

I was a chemical operator at Lubrizol which entailed unlaoding and loading various chemicals into tanker trailers. It was not a bad place to work at all.

Family oriented company

Great company to work for.Training was non stop. Safety was a number one priority. For the most part, management genuinely cared about the work force.

great enviroment

lots of diversity and almost like a family there very tight knit. But the flip side of that is everyone is in your business and gossip spreads quite fast. Management is very approachable and always looking for growth in the company and the employees.

Tough work with long hours

I did enjoy this job but, when I work there the hours made working a strange feeling. It felt like even when I was off I was working or going back to work. Especially when I worked over time.

small company

12 Hrs rotating shift. making round, taking samples, batch process, trouble shooting problems *learn the batch process *management seems to be more for the company and not the emplyoees *I have a very diverse group of co-workers * the hardest part of the job is working with people that have done the same thing for the past 30 years and can't change to new ideas. *the most enjoyable part of the job is when i make good product for a customer.
