Macys is a fair place to work. Best part is the co-worker and the the team. Worst part is retail houes, long weekends, no holiday days off. Depends on the location and the managers

What is the best part of working at the company?The best part of working at Macy’s for me during seasonal was the employees and management are all very friendly. They are willing to help you out if need be and will answer any questions you have. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?The holidays honestly but all very well worth it.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Very well rounded. Everyone is super friendly and helpful What is a typical day like for you at the company?Depending upon the department you are working in.

Great place to work

Absolutely enjoyed working at Macy's department store. Management worked around schedule and the location was very nice and clean. The other employees were nice.

Looking for a new job as I type

Working at Macy's used to be fun. Now, all the managers are on a power trip. Everybody wants to be the boss without the pay. I'm disgusted with how they treat people. Especially those who seek accommodations for family issues. They are the most unempathetic workplace I've ever worked for.

Management is horrible, they give you tasks that aren't in your job description, the managers are lazy

A Fun Productive work place that takes cares Of their employees

Of their employees and allows you to work based off of your daily life schedule as well as understanding your religious beliefs and do not discriminate when it comes to your race and nationality or religion as well as gender.

It was an ok place. No room for growth and management was horrible. The only reason I said ok was other peers. Most of them willing to help and support

Productive/fast paced

Nice place to grow if you like retail. Personally it was a bit competitive and the pay could be better but other than that its a decent starter job for the younger population

only good if you REALLY need a job

Working here wasn't too bad. What was bad was the management, pay and lack of benefits. Also you could ONLY get a discount if you had the Macy's credit card. If you really need a job.. by all means, apply. They desperately need people due to the bad environment they set you up with. Most people told me they thought the store was being shut down when I checked them out.

My time at Macy's was horrible. Never enough associates or managers. Cannot get a day off you are already scheduled for if something comes up. No room for growth.

Very interesting location. There is absolutely never a dull moment in that store. Also the building holds much historic value to the city of Philadelphia

It’s a great place to work. Everyone is friendly shopping with customers can be fun. It can be stressful sometimes but you were like working at Macy’s.

Overworked.

The hardest part of the job was the fact I was only 1 of 3 people loading semi trailers which was far from what was needed to do the job. 1 of said coworkers though would work for 5 minutes and walk off for an hour then comeback and repeat. Management knew of this issue but simply let him keep doing it for months before he left on his own terms.

Okay place to work

The location that I worked at had bad management. They were never around when you needed help. The work environment wasn't the best. One pro was that I was able to pick my hours.

The fun times didn’t out weight negative environment.

Older coworkers are bullies and Commission hogs. Management talks behind peoples backs but doesn’t hold people accountable. No hours. Hr lead was always rude and un helpful. Over all negative environment.

My boss and everyone there were stupid. They just wanted to gossip and talk behind everyones back. You also had to push the credit card to the point where it was uncomfortable.
