Como todos los trabajos tiene tu ventajas y sus desventajas tenía una buena experiencia en la entrevista y estaba bien emocionada yo empecé a trabajar durante Navidad como asociado de ventas era una posición temporal. Lo bueno es es pago , pagan bien y los cheques era semanal. Tienes una hora de almuerzo y un descanso de 15 minutos también, y los horarios son flexible. En el área de desventajas era buen difícil buscar turnos tú mismo lo escogías , pero tenía que estar pendiente porque la mayoría de las personas lo escogen primero que tú y te quedas hasta una semana completo sin trabajar una vez trabajé una semana 5 horas y otro 20 horas. La otra cosa es el ambiente es bastante competitivo hay personas que son permanentes y llevaba años ahí trabajando y ellos depende en la comisión de los clientes siendo una persona nueva tienes a alguien encima tuyo dándote el número de empleado de el/ ella para que obtenga la comisión. También Macy’s de Ponce es un ambiente bien tóxico los empleados no son de confianza , no hablen de una forma positivó hacía lo demás, y había una que discutió conmigo y formó una pelea conmigo bien feo afrente todo mundo. Durante navidad se llena de mucho clientes recomiendo que te prepares porque vas a trabajar bajo presión.

Unorganized

fun-ish workplace, but unorganized, rude managers and coworkers. constant drama between staff. chatting call out so you will be called in on your day off

Great work place and very friendly

Job is a great first one to have and the employees are very friendly. Be ready to stand for long periods but overall great place to work at. Employees will help you out.

Wouldn't recommend

My position was okay. Pay was okay, although I feel I could've been compensated more for the hard work. Management sucks! One of the main reasons I left. Only apply if you're in desperate need of a job.

You can learn a lot, but the culture can be tough

Pros: - opportunity to learn a lot from the teams you work with and get lots of exposure to different digital tactics- lateral jumps are fairly easy if you want exposure to new department or a different type of role Cons: - stressful environment, not the happiest colleagues - lacking organization and structure in marketing processes and holding people accountable when there are bottle-necks/delays/incomplete work

It’s what you make out of the workplace

For most part is a pleasant place to work at. I have not learned much in Macy’s where I have my dear, working there compared to my previous time working there. Management at Macy’s some not all art for most part under the influence the hardest part about my job at Macy is that I’m overworked and underpaid and for most part I’m either the only person in the department and it’s really hard to do breaks, or any kind of step away from register. The most enjoyable part about Macy is the people some of the people I work with they can make the job, so exciting and so welcoming while others make you feel uncomfortable. .

Fun work place, very lax

It was a great place to work at! I worked as a general associate, so I was either at the cash register or on the floor. The staff was wonderful and my manager was very understanding. Recommend to anyone young and old

Don't stay long term

It was a good and easy place to work at the first few years I worked there. But they started changing their management team and it got worse from there.

Nice coworkers nice environment can get a bit tricky with all the other departments. Have to wear a walkie talkie to ask for help and other things. Managers nice

Awful workplace

I don't recommend working here the management especially from woman's shoes department in visalia was awful they will schedule you on your unavailable days and they won't teach you any of the processes that are important to the job and they get mad at you for doing wrong despite not teaching you properly, overall the management is awful and they will throw you under the bus so that they don't look bad

Worked while in college and learning about the business side of retail. I enjoyed my co workers and direct supervisors. Many of who I knew from my previous location

The managers

Working here was fine but the managers were the real problem. It was difficult to work and communicate with them. Sometimes when I needed help, I was ignored.

If there was a way to give management negative stars, I would have

The only job I've had where I could not tell you whether the people working there or the customers were worse. The customers were terrible, leaving huge messes everywhere and acting like they were entitled to whatever they wanted at all time just for shopping. The management was terrible with bad attitudes and a complete lack of work drive. The only department I would recommend as enjoyable was fulfillment. The manager was a hard worker and the people in the department were good at their jobs and happy to be doing them.Basically, if you like being yelled at for doing too little by a person whom you've never seen so much as fold a shirt, this is the place for you

Calm work environment

I enjoyed working here , good benefits and amazing lunch room . Manager at the time was very understanding . The schedules was reasonable .The hours were good .

A work day typically included checking people out, answered questions on prices and setup/tidied up displays. It was a nice place to work for a first job.

Busy Work Need Support

There is always something to do. Never enough associates scheduled to keep up with customers and recovery. Management is so-so. Middle management is spread thin and not always supportive when necessary. Upper management is terrible. ZERO care for employee needs to get all expected work accomplished, has personal agenda, acts as if above rest of store, belittling, aloof, rude, inappropriate. Top management has no leadership abilities making for a hostile work environment on the rare occasions they leave their office to survey and critique the floor.

Good starting job

The job was okay, morning hours which was nice at times, opportunities for longer work days up to 40 hour weeks, but had some slow periods during other times which left you with limited hours

Always productive, Fast pace

As someone who is a little shy, this was the perfect role for me. I loved working "behind the scenes" to fulfill online orders. During the holidays, it gets crazy busy but it meant we were always productive. This would be the best job for you if you like working at a fast pace.
