If they don’t like your point of view about the company you will get fired

They take the decision against you and they tell you it’s fair and honest but once you share it with your coworkers they fired you on the spot wich i don’t understand why if it’s fair and honest why the get uncomfortable with sharing it plus the culture of kissing A** is the most common culture in this company don’t say the truth and always say the company is very very good it’s really a joke

Structured and minimal stress with decent payoff

Decent job with a lot of the stress taken out of the serving and bartending side of the store. Managers have a decent balance with being hands off and hands on where it matters. Overall a decent place to work for around 20-25$ an hour serving and bartending

It’s a good job

It's a good job if you are good at dealing with stress . It’s a basic restaurant job, but you have to be self driven and have thick skin. Very few people care about you, usually every man for themselves

Love my job

I’ve worked for 99 15 years and love it! The staff are my extended family. I love my customers as well!! I started as a server and quickly was promoted to bartender. This job has been so helpful with raising my children. It provided flexibility I needed when they were little.

supportive work environment, good training

I look forward to working because I know I will be supported by my coworkers and managers. Some locations are more organized than others which can be a bit frustrating when transfers or wanting to move up within the company. Overall, the managers wish to do what is best for all employees and are willing to help you achieve your goals.

Fun, productive place to work with amazing management

I worked at 99 for over 3 years and only stopped working there because I moved to the west coast during the pandemic. The management team at my restaurant were amazing people and completely made the job. They genuinely cared about employees as individuals and saw them as more than just a number. There was plenty of work to do but not so much that it was overwhelming. It was a fast paced environment with room to grow into other positions, great food, and fun culture! They give back to local communities every year as well with fundraising and donations. Couldn't recommend working here more!

Don’t work here unless you want to suffer.

I asked management so many times to change my schedule, they never did. I told them I prefer to work earlier in the day they said they only have one person on the door in the morning (I was a hostess). Three of my coworkers treated me like sht for absolutely no reason. You get no breaks, no lunch, and almost no one gives a sht about you. Management is toxic, just like almost everyone that works there. Toxic toxic environment.

Amazing management

I have been with the company for years, the money is great and the team is amazing. You get 50 percent off meals, we have lots of regulars and the staff gets along great

Still haven't been paid for my first day of work never had no help kitchen manager doesn't do his job don't work here

Bad place kitchen manager that don't work Saturdays ? Place is a joke still waiting on 8 hours that they haven't paid me for then when I ask about my pay it's my problem

Great co-workers, poor management

The people I worked with were extremely fun to be around, and I enjoyed working alongside them, but the management sucked all of that positive energy away and quickly burned me out. Management often would shout at the cooking staff and speak as demeaningly as possible to them during rushes, despite the fact that sometimes orderloads were slowed by lack of equipment. I did not work here long but in the entirety of my time there, both the warmer and a whole fridge were down, with no talk of getting them repaired. Managers would sometimes pretend to be buddy buddy with you, and offer you raises and more hours for learning new stations. I was even promised a raise for my first dish shift that I never received in the month following. They do not respect your schedule here either, I made it clear when I started that they could have me working mornings or nights, but that I did not want them to have me on both, though I still ended up sometimes working until 11 pm one night and then waking up for a 7 am or 9 am shift the next morning. Overall I've never experienced burnout this fast, and I love cooking.

Company need to listen to the employees more especially the ones that spend years of dedication and hard work. Good management and a positive work environment.

Great place to work. Supportive management. Clear direction and expectations.

Spent 17 years in management. Great group of people from the local location to the corporate office. Great food. Great systems in place. Clean restaurants. Welcoming to new people.

Not an Easy Job

This job isn’t the greatest. It starts out good but not all the staff cares about the position so you might end up doing most of the work if you aren’t careful. Certain managers care for their staff well others don’t. Be prepared to get snapped at or yelled at for no reason by staff and customers. No set schedules at all. Be prepared to constantly be asked to stay late or come in and be guilted if you say no. This job is a lot to handle. As a server the pay is up and down some days you leave with nothing and some you leave with 100-200 at most

Toxic environment in every department

Management perpetually disorganized, even childish at times (regardless of the turnover - it never gets better.) You don't have to split the tips, which is out of the restaurant-ordinary, but the busiest nights are very overstaffed on the floor. Anyone from any department can be found arguing and fighting at any time; managers and line cooks, line cooks and servers, servers and hosts, etc. There are plenty of better restaurants to waste your time at.

Energetic workplace with reliable team members.

Worked at one of their busiest locations for about 3 months on ovens. While the job was easy enough to learn, keeping pace with more seasoned employees and maintaining composure was difficult due to the large influx of customers the restaurant would receive regularly in the evening. Staff and management were more than accommodating and an absolute pleasure to work with in the time I was there. Safety concerns were addressed and appropriate uniform was provided. Regularly closed for ovens and while the list of tasks were moderately lengthy, they were reasonable. Regardless of your station, your trainers will provide the best learning experience possible to make sure you can fulfill your duties.

Goes from being slow to extremely busy almost unpredictably, May not receive desired hours without increasing responsibility's beyond initial station, Corporate may make changes to restaurant procedures that may not be ideal.

Great company to work for. Pay is very good, quality of life is great, plenty of room to be developed, it’s a large restaurant group of 100+ locations yet it still feels small enough where you know everyone and everyone shows you great respect

Fun and Fast-Paced

I've worked at a few locations as every position in the FOH. Very fun, fast-paced environment. Stressful during the covid environment, but a great company to work for nonetheless!
