fast paced fun

A typical day at work consists of customer service to make each guests day better. Tips depend on how well you take care of people. The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to hang out with coworkers. The hardest part of the job is juggling tables when we are busy. Management helps out well.

Outback will make you feel at home… for the time being

Being a server, you know your tips fluctuate. Money is usually almost always good from tippers but the management and back of house needs work. Management and server relationships have to have boundaries. Management doesn’t enforce mask wearing mandate in BOH, especially cooks/ dishwashers/ line prep. Not much room for advancement.

No breaks, no insurance or benefits, If you get a bonus, as a server- it gets eaten by taxes ex: $40 vaccine bonus or $150refer a friend

Fun place to work

Great for students and people looking to advance in the restaurant industry. It may get hectic at times but I enjoy my job for the most part. Half price off meals isn't too bad either

Great place to work depending on your location.

My location I worked at was fantastic, great management who was always around to help out and provide clear and constructive feedback. Great training to learn the ins and outs of serving.

It’s okay, the best part is the food, the schedule is pretty consistent

It’s alright. The pay depends on the position and condition the store is in and your management team. It can either be a great addition or a terrible experience.

Very stressful and not paid enough to deal with people's attitude and privilege's.

One manager always wants everything ina specific way and is petty if you don't ask him for help. Coworkers are amazing and they're the reason why I keep going to work.

Pros

If you enjoy the food there a lot, you get 50 % off. Coworkers are fun and they say a lot of random things.

Dealing with annoying, privileged people. Who want everything their way.

Hot as kitchen with no room to move

When they built the new restaurant on airport Blvd. They cared more about the customer then they did about the employees. Try to avoid working here....

no support from managers

Overall the worst work experience i’ve ever had in my 6 years of serving/bartending . There was no support from management ever . Constantly harassed by other servers and managers again with no support from corporate or HR. Many complaints were made and no actions were taken . This place is stuck in the 1930s

Not horrible not great. Fairly overworked but they are flexible with scheduling and you can move up in the company if you choose to. I enjoyed most of my time

Average restaurant to work at, with long hours but good pay

Sometimes can be hard to move up within the company, but a lot more opportunities are available now that most restaurants are understaffed. Pay is great for the work that is done. Culture is not existent, but depending on location staff can be great.

This location was busiest on Saturday nights, Sunday afternoon and Mother's Day. The environment was fast-paced and customer oriented. The pay was good for a chain restaurant.

Like most service industries, our demand depends on the economy. The pandemic hit the location I was at pretty hard.

Looking for a new job.

This Outback is not managed well at all. Not a hygienic environment. Food quality is inconsistent so you have to apologize to customers a lot. Embarrassing. Money not that great, too much tipping out. Business has gone significantly so hours are dropped at a moment's notice. Managers favor some employees and overuse others.

Managers don't care about you, 0 respect for your set hours. Teenagers basically run the place

Teenagers have to deal with manager problems. Hours are never respected. 0 respect from other employers or managers. Being treated like busters because the company hires incompetent ones. Employers blaming you for stuff they did so you get in trouble.

Unprofessional kitchen

Only if you really need a job would I suggest working here. The kitchen is ridiculously unprofessional and the kitchen managers know it but won't do anything about it because they're "friends" and afraid of the cooks quitting. One of the few bright sides is that the servers/bartenders for the most part are very good and the only thing keeping this restaurant afloat.

Service staff is good, for the most part all foh service staff are professional and take care of business, If you're a good server management leaves you alone to make your money, Fairly easy to get days off

The most unprofessional kitchen I've ever worked in, The cooks are toxic and will outright refuse to do the most basic of their job functions, Management doesn't hold kitchen staff accountable, Nearly impossible to update availability

Productive and fast paced work

Worked at Outback in Florida made a ton of money I did work at a franchise managers were all helpful and understanding best restaurant I've worked at.

Fun coworkers, usually young people to get along with. Lack of organization and communication with management and very hectic work environment.

It was fun and a great in between job to make quick money but other than that a great waste of time. There is little hope for moving up positions and management has no concern for employees.

outback uses you when they really realize you are very good at your job . don’t show them you’re good do the bare minimum and you’ll be fine . otherwise from that be prepared to be overworked
