Super not so bad place to work. Could easily be worse. I mean, if you had to choose between working 12hr shifts in sub par conditions, or being flat out broke, which would you choose? Yeah, thats what I thought

Pays good if you don’t mind the overtime, poor management

I liked the job while I had it honestly. But the supervision was terrible. Some of the supervisors showed favoritism, it got so bad to where I didn’t even want to speak to them. They tell you not to get on your phone but will be on social media watching stories in your face. They also go around telling employees your business. They will force you to work no matter what you have going on outside of work.

If your looking to make money quick it’s a good option a lot of Over time. but it gets really hot in the summer and it can get pretty frustrating the insurance it’s not good forced over time.

Terrible place to work management has ruined the company and ran all of the good workers away by being mean and disrespectful....also supervisors like sleeping with the women!

I loved working at Viskase but I relocated.you can move up in the Company if you work hard and come to work. They try to train you with the best people.

Worst Company with Good Pay

The management is the worst. The workers are worked to death with no appreciation just more forced overtime. A very stressful and hostile environment due to people not fully trained to work, don’t want to work and those that call off.

Good money. But no life outside of viskase. Some employee will mess your machine up and they'll walk away without any punishment. Be working on your off days and holidays.

Growth opportunities for those with a strong work ethic

VISKASE is one of the few places that actually has opportunity for advancement and career growth for the ambitious and those with a strong work ethic. All supervisors and several managers started on the production floor.Ther are many opportunities to learn numerous job across the plant.Viskase doesn't have designated break times. Instead, they treat you like adults who are not necessarily better off when living on a predetermined eating schedule. They give you the freedom to break when it's most convenient in the work flow. They expect you to be a responsible person, and trust your work ethic.The benefits are comparable to the local industry.The culture could be better. But with a distant corporate and a sour Union leadership no matter how hard local management tries to do good there is always a them versus us.

Machine Operator (Empleado actual) - London, TN - 18 marzo 2021
Training is bad. You are bounces around from trainer to trainer if you don't catch on fast enough the other trainers won't train you. No breaks. 12 hours you stay at machine with no breaks. Supervision will come around when you start and ask if you are OK but after a while you are never asked about anything. Work you to death. Not worth the money. Benefits are horrible. Rotation shift 12 hour days for one month then 12 hour nights for a month. No holidays unless it fells on your day off.

The worst place I e ever been involved with very micro managed no ability to provide input with a dictator type leadership. Employees on the floor are a great group but have very low impression of the upper leadership

Very good work place, work hours were good, the management had good relations with employees, room for advancements. Pay was good.. supervisors were willing to help employee to succeed and help further training for other in house job position.
